So we’ve been kind of laying low a bit lately. School has started for Drew so he’s up in Dekalb for most of the time. And the rest of us have been working a whole shit ton, because its hard out here for a pimp. So since summer we really haven’t played much shows, if you hadn’t noticed. But we’ve been writing a lot and finishing up recording for our split tape with Rusalka, which is sounding awesome. We were pushing for a nov 26th release date but that is being changed to early December. Its pretty much done, we just won’t have the physical copies by Nov 26th. BUT we have some shows coming up with more details coming soon.
Nov 19th w/ Texas Instruments (KC), Alta, and Smoke Coke in Champaign-Urbana. Venue TBA
Nov 26th w/ Rusalka, Panel Van, and Mammoths. Venue also Tba. This is the would-be release show, no tapes but we will probably have some Cd’s to give away.
We’ve also written a bunch of songs and are still writing even more. Touring probably isn’t going to happen any time too soon for us so we’ve got some pretty sweet releases planned. Again, we’ll have more info soon.

Today (technically yesterday since its 6am as I’m typing this) was what can only be described as a mass success. Friday night was our CD release show and it went super awesome. we sold a bunch of copies of the new EP, played a super great set with a bunch of fun old ones and then me and Cj went out to The Pig with Darwin. Went to bed and woke up at noon.
We dicked around the house until about 3pm waiting for T.I.’s screen to dry for their shirts and packed a whatnot, We set sail and had a pretty good 4 hour car trip and the usual antics that occur when the 5 of us are in one place did indeed occur as we rolled into Iowa City.
Iowa City is a pretty sweet town. Not too much different than Champaign, being a city with a major university in it/ there was even a Hawkeyes football game just ending as we arrived on campus (eerily similar to Green St. even with a Mia Za’s). The venue was in the basement of some sort of random school building right in the middle of campustown and was in this room with a tiny stage. All the bands killed, Without Fail played a fun set, T.I. was awesome as always (if I don’t mention them in future updates just assume they played awesome) Treaty of Versailles was great and did a sweet Neil Perry cover, and Eat Hard Waves fucking blew me away. We played, had fun, a few of us sustained some injuries (Jake: smashed finger, Me: Mysterious gash in my hand) and had a great time.
After the show we headed back to Justin Weaver’s (He’s in Labrynth, a sick ass tech metal band) apartment with a whole bunch of people to hang out and drink some beers. Much to my surprise I walk in to the apartment and long-lost brother in bonerness, Maxxxwell Lange (you know, Ringbearer, Sender/Receiver, Signs of Hope…Rose Funeral) is sitting on the couch, completely unexpected. Those of us who drink got some beer and Four Loko and proceeded to hang out into the wee hours of the morning. I also decided to completely rape Mark’s external and accquired me some sweet new mp3’s.
At this exact moment I am laying on a sleeping bag on top of Justin’s kitchen counter as everyone is asleep below me. Every inch of furniture and floor as a human body on it right now and I’m not sure but I think Tucker might actually be sleeping in the bath tub. I think Kansas City is tomorrow (today) but I’m not sure. All I know is the sun is coming up, I think Maxxxwell is fingering his gf on the couch, there is an ogre snoring like a bloodthirsty demon below me, and this is my life.
